Vice Admiral (ret.) Jonas Haggren has joined Swedish state-owned communications company Teracom as Head of Strategic Development. Haggren most recently served as Sweden’s Military Representative to NATO and the EU.

Haggren took up the newly announced role on 1 October and joins Teracom’s executive management, according to a ⁠press release from the company. His responsibilities will include the company’s long-term strategic development and its role within Sweden’s Total Defence.

— Teracom has an important mission in supporting critical societal actors, and I look forward to working concretely with capabilities that large parts of the Total Defence need and demand, says Vice Admiral (ret.) Jonas Haggren in the press release.

Haggren served as Sweden’s Military Representative to NATO and the EU from 2023 until July 2026, when he was succeeded by Lieutenant General Jonny Lindfors, as ⁠previously reported by NDS. Before his posting in Brussels, Haggren served as Chief of the Command Staff at Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters and held senior positions in the Swedish Navy.

He also has previous ties to Teracom, having served on the company’s board between 2020 and 2026.

NDS ⁠reported on Haggren’s appointment as Military Representative in 2023. In January 2024, Haggren also ⁠wrote for NDS about Sweden’s path towards NATO membership and the country’s future military role within the Alliance.
