Minister for Defence Pål Jonson is visiting Gothenburg (western Sweden) from 3 to 5 November 2026. According to the Ministry of Defence, the minister will be making operational visits to several defence companies and the Swedish Armed Forces.
Jonson is meeting company executives and staff at defence companies in the Gothenburg area, including Volvo Defence, Saab and Airolit. He will also visit the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment. During his stay in Gothenburg, the minister for defence will also take part in the Nordic Compass Summit 2026 industry forum, in which several of the Nordic region's largest industrial companies are participating.
