KARLSKOGA, Sweden – During the week, BAE Systems Bofors, alongside some twenty startups and tech companies, showcased the ALMA (Affordable Loitering Modular Ammunition) project during Winter Demo 2026.
The three-day event was filled with innovation, centered around the theme of what we can achieve together to turn capabilities into possibilities.
"I am very proud of the Winter Demo and that we took the opportunity to showcase the innovative power that emerges when the defense industry, academia, startups, and tech companies collaborate," says Lena Gillström, Managing Director of BAE Systems Bofors.
Sweden's Minister for Defence, Pål Jonson, also participated in a panel discussion during the demonstration.
"We need more actors and entrepreneurs in the defense industry. The initiative taken by BAE Systems Bofors aligns with the goal of increasing innovation, production, and collaboration within the defense sector. It is both appreciated and much needed," says Pål Jonson.
