German-designed diesel-electric attack submarine developed by thyssenkrupp Marine Systems for the Norwegian Navy. Features air-independent propulsion (AIP) technology enabling extended underwater endurance without snorkelling. Six units are planned for Norwegian service with the first delivery scheduled for 2029.
