Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Sweden today for discussions with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (Moderate Party). Following the meeting, a joint press conference will be held in Linköping (southern Sweden), home to Saab, where a new development in defence export is expected to be announced, according to a press release from the Government Offices of Sweden.
During the meeting, the leaders will discuss Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the bilateral defence cooperation between Sweden and Ukraine. According to the Government Offices, the Prime Minister and President Zelensky will also conduct a site visit, but further details are not provided.
Several Swedish ministers and party leaders are participating in the visit, including Minister for Energy and Business Ebba Busch (Christian Democrats), Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard (Moderate Party), Minister for Defence Pål Jonson (Moderate Party), and Minister for Education and Integration Simona Mohamsson (Liberals).
