Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Sweden to participate in a Nordic-Ukrainian summit hosted by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), writes the Prime Minister's Office in a press release and the president on X (formerly Twitter). Later in the day, he will meet H.M. The King and representatives from the defence sector.

Also attending the meeting are Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, and Iceland's Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson.

The leaders will discuss, among other things, the situation in Ukraine, the need for military support, and how the Nordic countries can best assist Ukraine in its defence against Russia's invasion. During the day, the Nordic leaders and President Zelensky will also have bilateral meetings, writes the Prime Minister's Office.

Zelensky writes on X that his goal is to secure more air defence for Ukraine, joint projects within the defence industry, and other defence materiel. He further writes that Ukraine will sign three security agreements today, to make the support to the country more predictable and long-term. He also writes that he will meet H.M. The King and representatives of the defence industry.
