Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced via his official Telegram channel that he had a meeting with BAE Systems' global CEO Charles Woodburn. They reportedly discussed opening offices and production facilities within Ukraine for the company's various products.

Many countries have donated defense equipment to the country, including equipment produced by the BAE Systems group. Among others, Swedish-produced Bandvagn 206 and BvS 10 from BAE Hägglunds have been donated by Italy and the Netherlands, respectively. Additionally, Sweden has donated the Combat Vehicle 90 from the same subsidiary and the Archer artillery system from BAE Bofors.

During the conversation, they reportedly agreed that the company will open offices in the country. Subsequently, the company will start repair and production facilities for the company's products. President Zelensky's announcement does not specify which products are intended. At the time of publication, the company has not issued a press release regarding the meeting.
