W5 Solutions has signed an agreement with the Finnish Defence Forces for the delivery of a mobile target system for live-fire shooting within the product area Live-Fire Training. The initial contract is valued at 25 million SEK, with planned deliveries in 2025 and 2026. The agreement also includes additional options worth another 27 million SEK, with orders to be placed by 2027 for delivery by 2028.

The system consists of a trailer-based target system designed to enable live ammunition training at various locations.

– Collaborating with the Finnish Defence Forces is an important milestone for us in our continued establishment in the Nordic region, says Evelina Hedskog, CEO of W5 Solutions, in a press release from the company.

Defense Sector News reported in April 2024 that the company was awarded a framework agreement from FMV valued at 60 million SEK for the delivery of target figures adapted for various weapon systems. These are equipped with thermal signatures to enhance realism in shooting training at both soldier and unit levels.
