The Volvo Group has announced that they have now completed the divestment of the French defence company Arquus to the Belgian company John Cockerill. According to Volvo, the transaction has no significant impact on the group's financial results.

In January, the Volvo Group announced that they had signed an option agreement with John Cockerill Defense, granting the Volvo Group the right to sell Arquus following mandatory consultations with employee representatives.

Arquus manufactures and sells specially designed vehicles to defence forces and has approximately 1,200 employees in France. In 2022, Arquus accounted for about 1 percent of the Volvo Group's revenues, Volvo stated at the time.

According to DI, the sales to defence forces consist of products from three of the Volvo Group's companies: Volvo Defense, Mack Defense, and Arquus, which was formerly known as Renault Trucks Defense.
