According to the Prime Minister's Office, bilateral meetings with the American administration and meetings with members of Congress are among the scheduled events.
During President Joe Biden's State of the Union address before the country's senators and members of Congress, the Prime Minister has been invited to sit in the President's wife's box, known in English as the First Lady’s Box.
In a press release from the White House, where the President's office announces the guest list, the Prime Minister's name is included. It also states that Sweden formally becomes a member on 7 March 2024.
