Saab has received an additional order from FMV to upgrade the Jas 39 Gripen C/D. The order, valued at 466 million SEK, includes updates such as the integration of new combat and attack weapons and hardware upgrades of support systems.

– The order, which includes the integration of advanced weapon systems, establishes the Jas 39 Gripen C/D as the backbone of Swedish air defense and a continued significant contribution to Swedish defense capability, says Magnus Wallén, project manager at FMV, in the agency's press release.

The planned upgrades aim to enhance the aircraft's ability to meet future operational requirements. Saab will also conduct studies on further development within combat and attack weapons as part of the contract.
