The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) announces on its website that they have released a guide for companies on how to develop and staff wartime organisations. This is because private actors important to total defence need to be able to continue operations during heightened readiness and war.

The guide is a new edition of “The Right Person in the Right Place – Public Actors” which has now been updated to also address private actors. The new guide is aimed at all actors, both public and private, who need to develop and staff wartime organisations and therefore targets government agencies, municipalities, regions, and companies.

- The need for companies to plan for readiness is becoming increasingly clear, and it is therefore important that we continuously provide support on several fronts simultaneously. The guide for wartime organisation and placement is an important part of this work, says Fredric Stany, head of MSB's unit for supply preparedness.

The guide is part of MSB's comprehensive support to companies, and companies should read it together with the support available on MSB's website under Comprehensive Support for Companies.
