Uniform at Work Day takes place on Wednesday of week 16 every year and is a long-standing initiative by the Home Guard to spark interest and raise awareness that Home Guard soldiers are among us. Employees at companies then have the opportunity to share more about their involvement in the Home Guard with their colleagues.

Companies, institutions, and authorities across the country support Uniform at Work Day, such as Combitech, Stockholm University, and LKAB.

– Uniform at Work Day is a great opportunity to highlight the defence willingness and public engagement present in society. In these times, it is more important than ever, says the Chief of the National Home Guard, Laura Swaan Wrede, in an article on the Swedish Armed Forces' website.
