On Wednesday, October 2, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson visited BAE Systems in Karlskoga. The Prime Minister received a presentation of the production facility where the company manufactures the Archer artillery system.
- BAE Systems Bofors has contributed to defense capability in Sweden and our partner states worldwide for many years. The Prime Minister's visit is a recognition of how important our operations are. Therefore, we are very proud to have had the opportunity to showcase our operations to him, says Henrik Graff-Hedberg, Director of Communications & Government Affairs at BAE Systems Bofors.
The Archer artillery system is one of the weapon systems that Sweden has donated to Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of the country in 2022. During the visit, the Prime Minister also received a presentation of the company's new air defense system, Tridon, which has been developed to protect against airborne threats such as drones.
