Jonas Rydin has been elected as the new chairman of the board for SnigelDesign. Jonas Rydin has extensive involvement in the Swedish defence industry and is also actively supporting Ukraine through the initiative QM for Ukraine.

Jonas Rydin is one of the co-founders and largest shareholders as well as a board member of the defence company W5 Solutions. Through the holding company Cajory Defence AB, Rydin became a co-owner of Snigel in 2023 and simultaneously a board member. Additionally, Cajory also holds stakes in, among others, 4C Strategies and Clavister.

– It is an honour to lead the board work for a company that is in a strong growth phase. The company's turnover has rapidly increased from 80 million kronor to over half a billion kronor annually. I look forward to contributing to the company's continued journey, says Jonas Rydin to FSN.

Jonas Rydin serves part-time as a quartermaster in the 2nd Amphibious Battalion. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he initiated the QM for Ukraine initiative. They operate by supplying Ukrainian units with, for example, medical equipment and vehicles - including in collaboration with Rekyl.

In May, Snigel announced that they together with Apotea developed and manufactured 200 emergency backpacks, with a purchase value of four million kronor, specifically designed for military medics at the front.
