The new variants to be delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces are a maintenance support vehicle and an engineer vehicle, with the former providing critical support and repairs for other vehicles on the front line. The engineer vehicle will be used, among other things, for mine clearance. These two new variants will be part of the Swedish Army's mechanised units, with deliveries planned between 2023 and 2027.
Ritek was a partner with BAE Hägglunds in the Norwegian CV90 programme and has also conducted REMO/modernisation on nearly 150 Norwegian CV90s, recently delivering 20 new vehicles to the Norwegian Armed Forces.
Ritek's CEO, Marius Reppe, states that the order enables the company to invest in a new production hall.
- We are proud to produce these new variants of the Combat Vehicle 90 for the Swedish Army, says Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, Managing Director at BAE Hägglunds.
