In January, Marcus Wandt became the third Swede in space when he travelled to a space station to research weightlessness. Among 22,500 other applicants, he was selected and thus became a project-employed astronaut within ESA.
He is a trained electrical engineer at Chalmers University of Technology and a fighter pilot within the Swedish Armed Forces. On a daily basis, he is the chief test pilot at Saab.
