The government and the Sweden Democrats have agreed on a three-year framework for military support to Ukraine totaling 75 billion kronor: 25 billion per year for the period 2024–2026. The decision aims to provide long-term support for Ukraine's fight against Russia's invasion, writes the Government Offices in a press release.

The combined military and civilian support from Sweden to Ukraine will thus exceed 100 billion kronor. The military support may include donations of defense equipment, financial contributions, and economic support for the procurement of defense equipment.

According to the press release, the support is designed not to affect Sweden's own defense buildup or other important investments, which implies a deviation from the surplus target.
