Peter Egardt, former chairman of the board at the Swedish Defence University, is awarded the gold merit medal for his significant contributions in establishing the Swedish Defence University as an academic institution with full degree-awarding powers.
Claes Tornberg, former rector at the institution, also receives the gold merit medal for his contribution to strengthening the connection between the officer profession and academia.
Christina Malm, Director General at the Swedish Defence Recruitment Agency, is awarded the silver merit medal for her work in strengthening the growth of total defence and the recruitment opportunities of the Swedish Defence University.
