Today, HM King Carl XVI Gustaf visited NATO's (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) headquarters in Brussels. During the visit, he was received by Secretary General Mark Rutte. According to a press release from NATO, discussions covered Sweden's role as a new ally within NATO, including support for Ukraine and contributions to the alliance's collective security.
"Sweden is a strong contributor to our collective security, not only by strengthening its own defence but also through significant support to Ukraine," the Secretary General wrote on X/Twitter after the meeting (@SecGenNATO).
Later this week, the King and HRH Crown Princess Victoria will visit the Life Guards (Livgardet) in Kungsängen (near Stockholm, Sweden).
