Thales in Sweden and Kista Science City have signed an agreement making Kista the Nordic hub for the group's accelerator programme Trust My Tech, the parties report. The programme will provide Swedish cybersecurity and "trust tech" startups with access to Thales experts, AI and quantum platforms, as well as the company's global customer network during a twelve-week sprint.

According to Thales, the programme is part of the company's commitment to open innovation, where invitees are offered access to technical platforms, business networks, and expert support. The initiative is established in Paris, Montréal, and Singapore, and will now also include the Nordics through Kista Science City.

– Through the collaboration, Thales can strengthen the cybersecurity cluster in Kista and simultaneously gain a Nordic scouting window in a strong innovation market, says Håkan Ahlström, Sweden Director for Thales.

Kista Science City will assist in identifying promising companies and coordinating collaborations.

– Our joint goal is to promote innovation, security, and sustainable growth in the Swedish and European cybersecurity ecosystem, says Karin Bengtsson, CEO of Kista Science City.
