Thales and Systematic have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen Denmark's air defence. The collaboration will combine Systematic's command and control systems with Thales's air defence systems, including SAMP/T NG.
"Systematic has several decades of experience delivering command and control systems to armed forces and NATO allies around the world. The partnership is an important step in strengthening Denmark's air defence with trusted European technology, while building on the industrial capability we have developed in Denmark," says Klaus H. Qvist, vice president for business development at Systematic.
The partnership was presented at DALO Industry Days 2026 in Herning (Denmark). According to a press release from Systematic, the companies' systems will be integrated to improve coordination between SAMP/T NG and other air defence systems.
The collaboration will support Danish requirements in air battle management as well as ground-based air defence missile capabilities. The companies will also assist the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), the Danish Ministry of Defence's materiel and procurement authority, in efforts to create an integrated air defence capability.
"By combining proven solutions with strong local cooperation, we are strengthening our presence in the country and contributing to defence capabilities that create value for Danish industry," says Martin Søegaard, Thales country director for Denmark, Ireland, Iceland and the Baltic states.
The companies state that the partnership will also strengthen the Danish defence industry and create opportunities for future exports. The collaboration is described as part of a broader European industrial cooperation to meet national and allied defence needs.
