Danish defence company Terma has joined the defence track of Nordic Compass, a pan-Nordic industrial alliance. It joins Ericsson, Kongsberg, Nokia, Patria and Saab, Terma announced on 20 October.
The five founding companies formed the track in August 2026, as reported by NDS. It is chaired by former Finnish Defence Minister Jyri Häkämies.
According to Terma, the track will explore how closer industrial cooperation can strengthen Nordic and European defence capabilities. Areas include reducing cross-border barriers and integrating technologies from different suppliers. Responding jointly to hybrid threats is also on the agenda.
Terma says it will contribute experience in systems integration and industrial partnerships. The company describes the Nordic region as a strategic home market.
Nordic Compass launched in May 2026 with four tracks: capital markets, deep tech, defence and energy. The alliance will present its first initiatives at the Nordic Compass Summit in Gothenburg on 4–5 November.
