Denmark's defence procurement agency, DALO, has awarded Systematic a contract for a counter-drone command-and-control (C2) capability. It will be deployed across Denmark. Neither the contract value nor the delivery timeline has been disclosed.
— The agreement with Systematic is another step in building a strong and coherent capability to handle drone threats, says Lieutenant General Per Pugholm Olsen, Chief of DALO.
The capability is built on Systematic's SitaWare Suite. Its SitaWare Insight module uses AI to analyse historical and near-real-time data for patterns and potential threats. Systematic calls this the first known contract by a NATO member for C2 that is ready to integrate AI-supported analysis.
In August, DALO signed an agreement with Terma for an AI-supported drone command system built on Terma Helion and OSL Technology's FACE platform, as previously reported by NDS. According to Systematic, the combined setup will give military and civilian agencies a common operational picture.
— The answer is not simply more sensors or more individual systems. It is the ability to connect information, understand what it means and act on it quickly, says Nikolaj Bramsen, CEO of Systematic.
