During a ceremony at the Bromska Palace, the residence of the French ambassador on Narvavägen in Stockholm (capital of Sweden), two Swedes were awarded medals. The ceremony took place on 4 July in the presence of, among others, Ambassador Etienne de Gonneville and Defence Attaché Commander Jérôme Chevalier.

Lisa Gustafsson, Director of the Department for Defence Intelligence, Security, and Cyber Issues at the Ministry of Defence, was appointed Knight in the Order of Merit.

Lieutenant Colonel Johannes Breitholtz was awarded the National Defence Medal in bronze.

In a post on LinkedIn, he wrote:

– Today I had the great honour of receiving the médaille de la défense nationale in bronze at the Bromska Palace, the residence of the French ambassador in Stockholm. [...] The defence cooperation between our two countries grows stronger every day, and this is just one of many signs of that trend.
