Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) has launched a month-long operation called Nordic Warden to protect critical underwater infrastructure in the Baltic Sea and North Atlantic. The operation involves maritime and airborne units with participation from all JEF countries, coordinated from JEF's headquarters in Northwood, United Kingdom, writes JEF and the Ministry of Defence in press releases.

– JEF plays an important role in addressing the threats to critical underwater infrastructure in our vicinity. This activity once again demonstrates that JEF countries are united, coordinated, and ready to act, says Defence Minister Pål Jonson (M) to the Ministry of Defence.

The operation covers areas from Norway to the Baltic Sea and aims to monitor shipping and detect unusual or suspicious activity near important underwater infrastructure.
