Sweden and Ukraine have entered into a collaboration aimed at strengthening resilience against cyber threats. The agreement, which spans five years, focuses on capacity building and the exchange of experiences regarding Russian attack methods. The signing took place during the security conference in Munich, Germany.

– Sweden stands by Ukraine and we will continue to support them for as long as necessary. Through the agreement that has now been signed, Sweden will also be able to contribute to Ukraine's resilience in the area of cybersecurity, while further strengthening the cooperation between our two countries, says Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin in a press release.

The collaboration enables Sweden to contribute to capacity building in Ukraine. This includes training, exercises, methodological support, and secure information sharing to enhance the ability to withstand Russian cyber attacks.

The agreement also provides Ukraine with the opportunity to share experiences from handling advanced Russian cyber attacks. These insights are expected to eventually enhance Sweden's readiness and ability to protect critical societal functions.

The signing took place on 12 February in Germany. The collaboration is formally established between the National Cybersecurity Centre at the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment (Försvarets radioanstalt, FRA) and the Ukrainian State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP).
