Sweden and Finland Exercise Defence of Archipelago
This week, Sweden and Finland are conducting joint exercises to develop the capability to defend each country's territory together. The exercise is primarily taking place in the Stockholm archipelago and along the Norrland coast, the agency states in a press release.

– Exercises of this type strengthen the Swedish-Finnish ability to solve various tasks, but also send a clear signal that we are prepared to defend our common interests against a potential aggressor, says Fredrik Ståhlberg, Deputy Chief of Operations, in the press release.

Last week, American congressional representatives visited Amf 1 at Berga and greeted U.S. Marine Corps soldiers and Swedish amphibious units.

The U.S. Marine Corps is in the Stockholm archipelago to participate for the fifth time in the exercise Archipelago Endeavor (AE23).
