Sweden is now part of the Ukrainian capability coalition focusing on IT, writes the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in a press release. Defence Minister Pål Jonson (M) signed the declaration on 18 October during a meeting in Brussels with Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

– Sweden is expanding its support to Ukraine. This is an important step to strengthen our cooperation, says Defence Minister Rustem Umerov in the press release. He also pointed out that Ukraine is interested in developing collaborations within, among other things, telecom and cooperation with Swedish defence companies.

Pål Jonson notes in a post on Twitter (formerly X) that the IT coalition is the sixth that Sweden has joined.

The coalition is led by Luxembourg together with Estonia and consists, after Sweden's entry, of a total of 16 members.
