Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) has visited Karlskoga to present the government's new military support package to Ukraine. The total support amounts to approximately three billion kronor. The support package includes five artillery localization radar systems from Saab, support for the Ukrainian defense industry, and 18 Archer artillery systems from BAE Systems Bofors.

– The Archer system has many merits, but above all, it is known for its high precision, mobility, and protective capability. We also know that Ukraine has greatly valued the eight Archer pieces already delivered from Sweden, says Pål Jonson, and continues:

– Deliveries of Arthur, Saab's artillery localization radar system, can occur relatively quickly, and from next year, the Archer pieces can begin to be delivered.

The Defense Minister also announces that Sweden is now joining Ukraine's "artillery coalition," one of the country's nine capability coalitions that coordinate support, training, and donations from donor countries.

– We have received very good feedback from Ukraine. The only comment has really been that the number of pieces is too few, says Bofors CEO Lena Gillström, and continues:

– This order is good for us as a company and for Sweden. We are increasing production capacity and opening more offices to support the increased production pace.

In response to a question about the delivery pace, the Defense Minister answers:

– The demand for defense materiel produced in Sweden is strong. Therefore, it has been important for us to discuss how we can increase production. By increasing the production pace, we can deliver both to the Armed Forces and to Ukraine.
