- It is an honour to be elected to this position by my fellow CEOs and ASD's national associations. I look forward to helping lead ASD in these challenging times for Europe, together with the newly elected chairman of the ASD board, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, says Micael Johansson, CEO and President of Saab in a press release from the defence company.
ASD brings together over 3,000 companies and nearly 900,000 employees across Europe to, among other things, provide the EU's institutions with a counterpart for dialogue. They also represent Europe's aerospace, defence, and security industry on a global level as well as with other international bodies and associations.
ASD is led by the general assembly, which consists of all members, as well as by the board in which Micael Johansson is now vice chairman. The secretariat is led by secretary general Jan Pie. Pie was, prior to his appointment in 2013, secretary general at the Swedish industry association Security and Defence Companies, SOFF.
- ASD is pleased to welcome Guillaume Faury and Micael Johansson as chairman and vice chairman to the board. Both understand the challenges our members face at national, European, and global levels, says secretary general Jan Pie in ASD's press release.
