Saab has received an order from the U.S. Air Force for the Carl-Gustaf M4 system, with an order value of 7.8 million dollars. Deliveries are planned to take place in 2026, Saab states in a press release.

The Carl-Gustaf system has been in use in the U.S. since 1990 and has been a Program of Record for the U.S. Army since 2013. This is the first time the U.S. Air Force has ordered the Carl-Gustaf system, which has previously been used by other branches within the U.S. military, including the Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command.

– Saab is constantly evolving to meet broader customer needs, and we are pleased to add the U.S. Air Force as a new customer for Carl-Gustaf, says Erik Smith, CEO of Saab in the U.S.
