Saab states in a press release that they have signed a framework agreement with the government of a Western country and received orders under the agreement for a number of defence systems. The total order value is approximately 8 billion SEK, with deliveries planned for 2023–2026.

The orders include Saab's Carl-Gustaf® recoilless rifle, the short-range air defence system RBS 70 NG, and the Giraffe 1X radar system.

In the announcement, Saab states that due to the nature of the industry and circumstances related to the customer, as well as national security interests, they will not disclose further information about these orders or the customer.

- We are proud to deliver the world-leading capabilities included in Saab's product portfolio. With this order, we continue to work towards our purpose of contributing to the safety of people and societies, says Saab's President and CEO Micael Johansson.
