Saab Receives Order for Carl-Gustaf from Secret Customer
Saab has received a large order for the Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle worth 1.3 billion kronor from a secret customer. Deliveries are scheduled to take place over the next two years.
Saab has had several significant orders for the rifle and associated ammunition recently. In October, the company received an order from Japan, which has used the rifle since 1979, for 300 additional rifles. The month before, the United States placed a billion-dollar order that included ammunition specifically for the Carl-Gustaf.
- This is yet another confirmation that Carl-Gustaf is the first choice for armed forces in many parts of the world. It is a system that soldiers trust on the battlefield, says Görgen Johansson, head of Saab's Dynamics business area in the press release.
