Saab states that they will not provide any further information about the order or the customer. The company refers to "the nature of the industry and circumstances concerning the customer as well as national security interests."
However, they announce that the order includes products and materiel from the business areas Saab Dynamics and Saab Surveillance.
Saab Dynamics has its headquarters in Karlskoga (central Sweden) and has developed, among other things, the Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle and the naval missile system Robotsystem 15.
Among Saab Surveillance's more well-known self-developed products are the group of radar systems called Giraffe and the airborne surveillance system GlobalEye.
- We are proud to contribute to our customers' security and see a great interest in our world-leading products and solutions, says Saab's CEO and President Micael Johansson in the press release.
