Saab has received an additional order worth 270 million SEK from the UK Ministry of Defence, complementing a previous agreement from April 2024. The new order includes the delivery of military training systems for the British Army's training activities in Oman, with deliveries planned for 2024-2025, the company states in a press release.

The Instrumented Live Training system, based on laser, radio, and GPS technology, provides realistic exercises and collects data for analysis. Saab also delivers support and the software Exercise Control (Excon) to aid in the planning and evaluation of the exercises, the company states.

– We look forward to continuing to support the British Army's training capability in the UK as well as internationally. Our systems are developed with interoperability in focus, and what we are now delivering means that the British Army can seamlessly cooperate with the Omani Army and other international partners, says Görgen Johansson, head of Saab's business area Dynamics, in the press release.

In April, Saab signed a three-year contract, worth approximately 730 million, with the UK Ministry of Defence to provide additional capability to the country's training and simulation systems, which the company has previously delivered to the UK.
