Saab has received a new order for the sight and fire control system UTAAS (Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System) for the Combat Vehicle 90 from BAE Systems Hägglunds. The order value amounts to approximately 880 million SEK, according to a press release from Saab.

According to Saab, the company, together with partners, has established new production lines in Europe to meet increased international demand.

– UTAAS is a versatile sight and fire control system for tanks and combat vehicles. It provides the user with a high probability of hitting both ground targets and helicopters and aircraft, a capability that is in high demand among defense forces worldwide, says Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab's business area Surveillance.

FSN reported earlier in February on a similar order from Hägglunds for the same system valued at 700 million SEK. In 2023, similar agreements were signed for Slovak and Czech CV90, with a total order value of approximately 1.9 billion SEK.
