Saab states on its website that the company received an order in December for the AT4 anti-tank weapon from the French defence procurement agency, Direction Générale de l’Armement. The order value amounts to approximately 24 million EUR (equivalent to about 230 million SEK) with deliveries in 2023. The order was booked in Q4 2022.

The AT4 family is a series of lightweight and portable single-use weapons that are easy to use. They can be employed against, among other things, tanks and heavy combat vehicles as well as threats inside buildings or behind cover.

– We are proud that France has once again chosen the AT4. The system will help provide the French armed forces with the combat power required to gain the upper hand on the battlefield, says Görgen Johansson, head of Saab's business area Dynamics.

France has previously ordered the variants AT4CS ER (Extended Range), AT4CS HE (High Explosive), and AT4CS AST (Anti-Structure). The AT4 family is referred to in France as Roquette NG (Nouvelle Génération).
