The order is placed under a framework agreement between Saab and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, which allows Lithuania, as well as Estonia and Latvia, to order the Carl-Gustaf M4 and ammunition over a ten-year period.
- We are proud to receive another order from Lithuania and are ready to continue delivering our world-leading support weapons to the customer, says Görgen Johansson, head of Saab's business area Dynamics.
In the press release, Saab states that the well-proven Carl-Gustaf system provides soldiers with effective capability. The wide range of ammunition types means that the weapon is flexible and well-suited for many situations on the battlefield, whether it involves neutralising armoured vehicles, buildings, or illuminating the battlefield during night operations.
