The contract period is 2023-2025 with options for an additional three years. The work will be carried out at Saab's facilities in Halmstad, Växjö, and Gothenburg (western Sweden), as well as on-site with the customer.
- Through our continued support of the Swedish Armed Forces' air defence systems, we contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of Sweden's air defence capability, ensuring it functions as it should, and allowing the Swedish Armed Forces to continue keeping Sweden's airspace secure, says Michael Olofsson, head of Saab's business unit Tactical Support Solutions.
For more than 60 years, Saab has supported the Swedish Armed Forces with support of Sweden's air defence systems. Today, the support includes missile systems such as RBS 70 and RBS 90, as well as the ground-based radar systems Giraffe AMB and Giraffe 75. Saab also manages support for Missile System 97, the command unit LvC, air defence communications, and software.
