Saab will build a factory and an innovation center in the USA. The work will enhance the USA's ammunition capacity and strengthen the global supply chain. Site selection and construction start are planned for this year, with production commencing in 2026, Saab stated in a press release on March 26.

The new site will, among other things, support the development and manufacturing of components for the Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) missile system, which has been jointly developed by Boeing and Saab.
