The government has decided to extend Robert Egnell's appointment as the rector of the Swedish Defence University until March 2028. The decision was made following a proposal from the university's board, according to a press release from the Swedish Defence University.

– Very happy and honored to receive the trust from the government and the board to continue the most important and enjoyable job I can imagine!, writes Robert Egnell on X (formerly Twitter).

Robert Egnell is a professor of leadership and assumed the position of rector in 2019. Prior to that, he was the head of the former Department of Security, Strategy, and Leadership.

The board's proposal was preceded by a process where employees were invited to ask questions to the rector and the chairman of the board, Carl Fredrik Graaf, writes the Swedish Defence University.
