On 6 October 2026, the Swedish Riksdag elected the 17 members and 17 deputies of its Committee on Defence (Försvarsutskottet). The party nominations went through the parliament's nomination committee.
The Social Democrats have five seats. They are former defence minister Peter Hultqvist, Johan Andersson, Erik Ezelius, Markus Selin and Malin Malm. The Moderates have three: Jörgen Berglund, Alexandra Anstrell and Gustaf Göthberg. The Sweden Democrats also have three: Bo Broman, Per Söderlund and Björn Söder.
The Centre Party has two members, Daniel Bäckström and Catarina Deremar. The Left Party (Hanna Gunnarsson), the Greens (Nila Vikhe Patil), the Christian Democrats (Mikael Oscarsson) and the Liberals (Willhelm Sundman) have one each.
The committee will choose its own chair and vice chair. The announcement did not name them.
