Oscar Sjöstedt announces that six billion SEK is allocated for the procurement of equipment from Swedish and European defense industries. Priority areas include artillery, remote combat systems, and unmanned vehicles, with a focus on short delivery times to meet Ukraine's urgent needs.
In addition to material support, Sweden invests 650 million SEK in training initiatives during 2025. This includes training Ukrainian soldiers on donated Swedish equipment and participation in international training programs such as EUMAM and Operation Interflex. Amphibious and naval training through Operation Intercharge and mine clearance training in Lithuania via NLETI are also included.
Mikael Oscarsson states that 2.8 billion SEK is allocated for financial donations. Part of the funds goes to international funds for joint procurements, while a significant portion is used for direct purchases from the Ukrainian defense industry according to the Danish model. At least one billion SEK will be used to strengthen Ukraine's long-range capabilities, for example through ground-attack missiles and drones.
In addition to material support, Swedish authorities contribute expertise. The Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI) supports the establishment of a Ukrainian defense research institute and provides analytical support. The Swedish Defense University offers training in strategic decision-making.
Anna Starbrink states that Sweden also donates defense equipment from the war organization valued at approximately 3.3 billion SEK. The delivery includes, among other things, 16 Combat Boat 90s, doubling the number of previously donated combat boats, as well as 23 weapon stations for naval use. Additionally, it includes 146 trucks, 1,500 anti-tank missiles (TOW), 200 anti-tank weapons, and infantry and protective equipment.
To ensure that donated equipment can be used long-term, efforts in logistics and transportation are also carried out. With this package, Sweden has contributed a total of 61.9 billion SEK in military support to Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion began.
