US President Joe Biden travelled directly from the NATO summit in Vilnius to Helsinki, Finland, arriving last night on 12 June. On site, President Biden has had a bilateral meeting with Finland. Now in the afternoon, the Nordic presidents and prime ministers are meeting with Biden for a joint meeting at the Presidential Palace.

The Government Offices announced the meeting on 2 July. According to the press release, the meeting will focus on increased cooperation between the Nordic countries and the US in areas such as security, environment, and technology. Before the joint meeting began, the press was invited for a brief Q&A session. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson commented that he met President Biden in Washington DC last week, in Vilnius yesterday, and now also today in Helsinki, which is more than he has seen his family lately.
