Patria and KNDS Deutschland Maintenance have signed a framework agreement for the assembly and final integration of the Patria 6x6 for the German armed forces. Local production within the multinational CAVS programme will be gradually built up in Germany from 2027.

According to Patria's press release, the agreement is part of the two procurement contracts the company signed with the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) in December 2025. Series deliveries to the German armed forces are set to increase in early 2027, while Patria, together with KNDS and other German industrial partners, builds up local production capacity.

Part of the work involves technology transfer from Patria to the German partners to enable manufacturing of the vehicles in the country.

"The agreement demonstrates that German industry can deliver the high quality required while also offering the cost-effective local production that the CAVS programme demands, as well as supporting Europe's defence industrial production capacity," says Jussi Järvinen, Head of Protected Mobility at Patria, in the press release.
