Defence Minister Pål Jonson (M) had a meeting with Germany's Defence Minister Boris Pistorius at Karlberg Palace on 5 March. According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss, among other things, the current security policy situation, NATO-related issues, continued support for Ukraine, and the Swedish conscription system.

During a subsequent press conference, the two ministers signed an updated declaration of intent regarding the bilateral cooperation between Germany and Sweden.

– This is a strong signal that a strong cooperation is now becoming even stronger, says Defence Minister Pål Jonson, according to a press release from the German Ministry of Defence.
