The satellite communications company Ovzon has received two new orders in December. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has placed an additional order worth 58 million SEK for mobile satellite terminals, and a European NATO country has ordered a package of satellite services and terminals valued at 240 million SEK. Both deals include the company's mobile terminals and solutions based on the Swedish-developed satellite Ovzon 3.
The order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) was announced on 18 December and includes an additional series of mobile terminals to be delivered in the first half of 2026. The order complements the larger framework agreement of 1.04 billion SEK signed in May 2025, and is the second supplementary order of terminals since then. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
– Through close cooperation with the customer, we have gained an increased understanding of their needs, which is reflected in their continued interest in our SATCOM solutions, says Ovzon's CEO Per Norén.
The following day, Ovzon announced that a European NATO country has ordered a package of satellite capacity, mobile terminals, and customer support with a total value of 240 million SEK. Deliveries of the terminals are expected to begin in 2026, and the contract includes an initial operational period of six months starting in the first quarter.
