Ovzon has received an order through Intelsat General Communications (IGC) for the continuation of Ovzon's SATCOM-as-a-Service to the United States Department of Defense. The order is valued at 3.1 million dollars. Deliveries will span approximately eight months and will commence immediately, the company stated in a press release on 16 December.

Ovzon's SATCOM-as-a-Service is an integrated satellite communication solution. It combines Ovzon's small mobile satellite terminals and satellite network along with service and support.

– Although this contract renewal, starting now, differs from previous years, our collaboration with the United States Department of Defense is long-term. We are working strategically together to support their critical and global missions. It is also exciting with the new industry-leading applications that we can provide following the launch of the Ovzon 3 satellite, which will take place in a few days, says Per Norén, CEO of Ovzon in the company's press release.
