The Supreme Commander has launched a podcast aimed at strengthening communication within the Swedish Armed Forces. The podcast, titled "Forward, March!", is hosted by the Armed Forces' press chief Therése Fagerstedt and is directed at everyone engaged in Sweden's military defense. According to Michael Claesson, the newly appointed Armed Forces Administrator Rickard Wilhelmsson will also participate.

– It feels both exciting and important to try a new format for internal communication. We want to reach out with the Supreme Commander's voice to everyone who has an engagement in the Armed Forces so that they can partake in the highest leader's thoughts, reasoning, and forward intentions, says Therése Fagerstedt in a press release from the Headquarters.

The initiative comes from the Supreme Commander himself, who explained in a Twitter thread that the purpose is to reduce the communication gap between the highest leadership and the employees. The podcast will initially contain six episodes of 30 minutes each, with a new episode every three weeks.

– I will share the podcast with the Armed Forces Administrator, and we will highlight current issues and invite both national and international guests, wrote Michael Claesson on X (formerly Twitter).

In the first episode, the Supreme Commander discusses, among other things, the Total Defense Decision, the Armed Forces' new strategic plan, and a summary of the year 2024.
